Binder free tinting paste
Not a ready made paint
To be added up to 10% of total mix.

Mix into your water based/oil based/anything based, glaze/varnish/paint or anything you want to tint really, Jesmonite, Polyester Resin.. whatever!

On our many visits to our clients in the film industry we noticed that many paint shops were using Mixol and it had many advocates that were confused as to why we didn't stock it.

We already have many pigment options but fans of Mixol raved about how intense the pigments were, how little you need to use and the fact that you can stick it in anything!

Although these tinters are pretty much universal in practice it's always worth testing by mixing up a small batch before beginning your work in earnest. If you are using Mixol for the first time or using it to tint non standard paints we would highly recommend that you buy the small sample pots of 20 ml to test before investing in the 200ml tubs.

Clearly Mixol have been asked many, very specific questions about the longevity of their tints and performance in different mixes so please refer to the various data sheets that they have produced (with varying levels of passive aggression and exasperation) attached to this product listing.

Worth noting that Oxide tints (red tops) perform the best if you are using Mixol with an exterior coating or any silicate or silicone resins/varnishes. However again please refer to our data sheets for further information.
